New Financial Year - New Premises
One of the biggest changes that we’ve seen in the last 6 months is a move to a
bigger factory - yes, yet again. Having outgrown our existing factory we moved
to one twice the size - and surprisingly (or perhaps not that surprisingly for
those who know Cedric) we filled it quite convincingly.
We now have an in house state of the art spray booth as well as equipment
including a state of the art eco-solvent digital printer with the capability of
printing up to 1800mm wide (industry standard is 1350mm), routers and all other
equipment necessary for producing top quality signage - in house.
Having your name in lights ...
When you want your signage to light up there are a variety of ways to do it
depending on what you want. The most popular way is to have a light box made up.
This is lit up with fluorescent tubes.
Likewise, free standing pylons with faces that light up also use a fluorescent
tube system.
Then there are the 3 dimensional fabricated letters and logos that also light
up. Traditionally these have always been lit up with sections of NEON
specifically bent to fit the fabricated letter. By it’s very nature neon is
fragile and can blow out over time.
The latest technology now being used to replace neon is LED’s. From the outside,
the effect looks the same as Neon. However, LED’s are hard wearing, durable and
easier to replace if necessary as it does not have to be custom made to fit the
letter. LED’s are ideal for outdoor signage that needs to withstand the
elements, and for signage in high or difficult areas so that maintenance is
minimised.
